Welcome to FACE, the Foundation for the Advancement of Culture and Education. Central to FACE’s  mission is the service to communities and families we support.  Currently working in four program areas, we are committed to social justice removing barriers, so all citizens can thrive.  FACE believes that every human being has the right to learn how to read and write. Our literacy programs focus on instruction for all ages and help our new comers develop literacy skills they need to navigate their new country.  We collect new and gently used books and distribute them to families and schools. Our gifting instruments program serves K-12 students and teachers in need of instruments or materials to use to learn music.  FACE collects new and gently used instruments for this program and works with Music teachers to get them into the hands of kids. Music is bridge that can help all students learn.

We serve as a regional hub for The FUSE campaign, a program that helps train folks how to have difficult conversations.  We deliver meals to families and seniors, provide trainings for families, teachers and students, and work with our partners and city leaders to problem solve and act on direct needs.
