All through 2020 has been fraught with all kinds of different situations, FACE is happy to announce that we were able to make positive contributions to schools and communities. This year, we added the national partners of Barnes and Noble book stores, Arteza Art Supplies, Youthprise, Let’s go Learn, The National Youth Leadership Council and St. Paul and Minnesota Foundation. Barnes and Noble are helping to bring reading and supplies to kids who are doing school at home. Arteza helped FACE with dry erase markers for whiteboards that were sent home with Barton Elementary students to help with math work. St. Paul and Minnesota Foundation helped FACE brainstorm computer hotspots for St. Paul students who were learning from home in the Spring of 2020 and provided a $20,000 grant to assist Community School of Excellence reading support and growth through Let’s go Learn this 2020-2021 school year. Youthprise partnered with us to provide parents help with using tax credits to buy computers for home learning. Let’s Go Learn has provided research and training to assist partner schools with reading practice and links FACE partner schools to schools around the nation to share research and best practices. In October, the National Youth Leadership Council joined with FACE to work on joint trainings, workshops, publications and research that can be used to assist K-12 teachers around the globe. Even with the pandemic, FACE has been able to overcome obstacles and provide resources that made a difference to over 5,000 students and families.
Help us expand our outreach to more families and students in the upcoming year. Go to our donate button and make a difference in a child’s life today. We thank you for your continued support!
